The evaluation of Grupo Rotoplas' contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals originated from the materiality analysis. This analysis allowed us to identify the sustainability issues closely linked to the business model and the solutions offered by Grupo Rotoplas, which also help to directly and indirectly solve the issues raised by the United Nations.
First Scope
SDG 6: ensure access to water and sanitation for all. Goal 6.1 By 2030, achieve universal and equitable access to safe and affordable drinking water for all. Goal 6.2 By 2030, achieve access to adequate and equitable sanitation and hygiene for all and end open defecation, paying special attention to the needs of women and girls and those in vulnerable situations
Goal 6.3 By 2030, improve water quality by reducing pollution, eliminating waste disposal and minimizing discharge of hazardous chemicals and materials, cutting in half the proportion of untreated wastewater and substantially increasing recycling and safe reuse globally. Goal 6.4 By 2030, substantially increase efficient water use across all sectors and ensure sustainable withdrawals and supply of freshwater to address water scarcity and substantially reduce the number of people suffering from water scarcity
Second Scope
SDG 9: Build resilient infrastructure, promote sustainable industrialization and foster innovation Goal 9.5 Enhance scientific research, upgrade the technological capabilities of industrial sectors for all countries, with special focus on developing countries. We are aware of the environment in which we operate, including the water, ground, and natural resources. Therefore, our environmental policy seeks to provide comprehensive guidelines on these issues.
Our goals is to create and distribute economic, social and environmental value for Rotoplas and its stakeholders to ensure present benefits now without compromising our ability to generate and distribute results for future generations. The policy is shown through the Sustainability Decalogue
Procedures
We are committed to generating value for our stakeholders, while always keeping in line with our values and adhering to the Rotoplas Way. We follow the highest corporate governance standards, which strengthens due diligence in the decision-making process.
PolicyEstablishes the principles and guidelines necessary to promote and respect human rights in Grupo Rotoplas’ operations. This policy promotes non-discrimination in the Group’s hiring processes regardless of employment relationship with the company, in order to collaborate in the creation and distribution of economic, social and environmental value.
Its purpose is to establish the environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) requirements for the suppliers that make up Grupo Rotoplas’ supply chain, in order to promote best practices and performance aligned with our values, including social and environmental responsibility.
Procedures
Through this policy we seek to develop a solid network with the key players related to our Stakeholders (SH) in order to facilitate the proper development of the businesses, proactively manage risks and opportunities, contribute to the sustainable development of the environment, and support the Company’s reputation. We build relationships with our Stakeholders that are based on mutual benefit, seeking to bring them all value, while always being attentive and ensuring transparency in our performance.
Establishes the necessary principles and guidelines on anti-corruption practices, including prevention and handling of bribery, extortion, accounting fraud, conflicts of interest and any related practice that involves violation of the law by Grupo Rotoplas employees and third parties acting on behalf of the Company.
Establishes the position of Grupo Rotoplas regarding climate change, including the guidelines to reduce the impact of the Company's operational processes and its value chain, as well as the maximizing the contribution that Rotoplas’ solutions have on adapting users’ climate effects on the supply and quality of water.
Promote equal treatment, respect for diversity and peaceful interaction, as well as the inclusion of vulnerable groups. It guides the way in which we proceed during the selection and incorporation of new collaborators, internal promotion, compensation and benefits, and the daily relationship within the teams. We also seek to recognize diversity as part of the Company’s strengths, allowing us to attract new ideas and perspectives.
